Wedding Dress Shopping in the New Normal

We are very excited to be opening our boutique on the 16th June!

After a very surreal past few months we are very excited to be opening out doors to brides to be again from the 16th of June 2020.  Now you may have seen the phrase “new normal” around once or twice and for the foreseeable at least it looks like we will be shopping in a new normal.  We have the advantage in that we have always operated an appointment only system in store however in order to comply with the government’s “COVID safe business” guidance, there will be some changes to how we run appointments.

Please read the following information carefully and let us know before your appointment if you have any questions at all! We look forward to seeing you soon.

Your appointment with us is one hour in duration. Before arriving, please use our website to browse through our dresses, we encourage you to let us know your favourites so we can ensure they are ready to be tried on. 

We are currently limiting brides to just one guest at their appointment. We kindly ask that you do not bring babies or children. If you would like to have more people involved in your decision (though as always we recommend you don’t have toooo many opinions!) You can dial one or two additional guests into the appointment virtually.  This is also a great option for anyone who may be shielding or unable to travel to The Boutique for your appointment.  We have an i-Pad already set up in prime position and our sales assistants will supply you with a link to share with your guests prior to your appointment.

Please ensure you arrive promptly, but not too early, for your appointment. We are limiting the number of people in the boutique at any one time and we are following a strict cleaning regime between appointments therefore you will be asked to wait outside until it is your appointment time. Our staff will unlock the door for you at the start of your appointment, you may call the office phone on 02034419620 to alert them to your arrival.

For the safety of our customers and staff, we will be providing gloves and masks for both you and staff to wear throughout your appointment. Don’t worry they are all on brand with hot pink (non-latex) gloves and flamingos on the masks! If you are traveling to us on public transport please remember that you will need to wear a mask on any TFL services therefore you should already have a mask with you.  If you have a respiratory condition or another reason that prohibits you from wearing a mask please let our staff know prior to the appointment.

Hand washing facilities and hand sanitiser will be available at all times, it will be required to use these upon entering the shop. 

Between all appointments, all surfaces in the boutiques will be cleaned thoroughly and dresses steam-cleaned and where appropriate sprayed with clothing cleaner.

Sadly, throughout this time, we cannot offer drinks to our customers. You are welcome to bring your own refreshments but please don’t forget to bring glasses too if you require them! We recommend you carry a reusable water bottle with you at all times, we will happily refill these for you. 

You will need to bring a pair of shoes with you to your appointment, any pair you are comfortable in will be fine you won’t see them in the appointment but they make the world of difference when trying on dresses. 

It may not be business quite as it was but business in the new normal will still be a joyous experience and we can’t wait to be back!
