How Real Bride Ellie found her dream wedding dress at The Boutique & Co and the details from her lovely Devon wedding!
One of the biggest perks from working with brides, is hearing back from them about their wedding day, how much they loved their dress and seeing all the photos from their celebration! We absolutely love when our real brides tell us stories and details from their special day. So we thought we would share them here as well and spread the love!
Happy Valentine’s Day! We’re celebrating this romantic holiday by reminiscing about one of our beautiful real bride weddings from last year. Our real bride Ellie had an intimate outdoor ceremony at Whimple Cricket Club on a warm day in September. We absolutely adored this wedding, Ellie and Joe truly made it their own and shared such a beautiful celebration with all their friends and family (some of which had travelled from the other side of the world to be there!) Ellie wore an A-line wedding dress that flattered her effortlessly and kept her comfortable in the warm weather. Their late September wedding featured confetti, sunshine and even a bride and groom piñata at the reception!
Ellie and Joe also added sweet, personal touches to their special day such as ‘flower grandmas’ for flower girls, and Ellie handmade all her bridesmaid’s gorgeous red bridal gowns!
Ellie chose the elegant and simple ‘DALILA’ wedding dress by Bianco Evento, a classic A-line design that suits every bride. Whilst we no longer stock this dress in our Fulham boutique, our Dalila sample is available at a reduced price through The Boutique & Co. Outlet!
We asked Ellie some questions so she could tell us all about her wonderful wedding and how she chose her dress with us.
Describe your bridal shopping experience with us
‘Everything was so relaxed from the moment we arrived. We went through the collection on arrival, what I wanted and my price range was discussed and all suggestions fitted this. With a few suggestions that were things I would never have tried on but so glad I did!! I found my dress after trying on just a couple before but Sue was so patient with me as I ummed and ahhed about if it was ‘the one’ and trying on various accessories. She was so knowledgeable and such a big help.
What stood out for you during your bridal shopping experience at The Boutique & Co?
‘I was so relaxed and at ease the whole time!’
Describe the moment you found your dream dress with us
‘It was pretty quick, I was only a few dresses into trying on. Me and the friend I had with me just knew that it was the one for me! Although I doubted it as the whole process had been so easy and quick!’
What was your wedding day like?
‘We held the whole day at the cricket club in the village I grew up in. We had a lot of guests but wanted it to feel like an intimate party. One way we achieved this was by asking lots of guests to be involved in various ways. For instance, one of my bridesmaids sung me down the aisle, family friends helped arrange the flowers my mother and a few small suppliers had grown, the grooms uncle lead our ceremony on the day the list goes on!’

Can you name any other wedding suppliers who contributed to your wedding day? Such as the florist, hair & makeup, catering etc?
‘Florist – Family Friends, Band – Hire a band (Havana), Make up – Jade Anna Make up, Venue – Whimple Cricket Club.’

‘Yes, definitely.’
